3rd Bromley Scout Group – starting young people on a lifetime of adventure

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life.

We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more.

3rd Bromley ScoutsEach week, we give young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.

We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always.

We’re a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.

3rd Bromley Scouts News
More News coming soon.

We are sorry to report that Doug Ramsey, a long term supporter of the 3rd Bromley, passed away in September having been ill with Covid and a heart problem during Lockdown.  One of Doug’s last appointments was as Group Scout Leader but he and his partner Lilian Butler, who died in 2018, had both been with the Group for many years and Doug had been the first Beaver Leader when the 3rd started their Colony in 1992.

Doug was fascinated by the history of the Scout Movement in general and the Group in particular and collected a large archive of material.  This we pledge to maintain in his honour.

He will be sadly missed by us all.

Mick Scott, GSL

In 2020 the Group was given £10,000 by the London Borough of Bromley because we are both a charity with our own premises and because we work with young people in the Borough. We were extremely grateful for this money and we have been able to bring forward our programme of refurbishment of our Head Quarters. We now have new heating, lights, security doors and have modernised our fire safety systems and started a programme of decoration. Thank you to the London Borough of Bromley Council.
